Roger Frellen Simpson

Roger Frellen Simpson, age 62 of Maryville, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, after battling cancer for more than two years. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1971, East TN State University on August 17, 1979 and was a professional truck driver for many years. Roger served his country four years in the United States Air Force rising to rank of Sergeant. He was preceded in death by daughter, Stacey Elizabeth Simpson; father, Carl Simpson; nephew, Ricky Talley and grandmother, Granny Nellie Wilkes. Survivors include his wife, Diane Simpson; mother, Opal Simpson; sister and brother-in-law, Carlene and Richard Talley; nieces, Lisa and husband Ken Worthington, Jennifer and husband David Reece; nephew, Jeff Talley; great nieces and great nephews, Sammy, Robby, Sarah, Suzi, Lucan, Simeon, Kenli and Anna. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. The interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
