Roderick S. "Rick" Huemmer

HUEMMER, Roderick S. “Rick” , 67, of Maryville, TN, passed away December 19, 2022. Rick graduated from West Carrollton High School, West Carrollton, OH. He received his bachelor’s degree in leadership and ministry at Johnson University, Knoxville, TN. Rick was a lifelong musician and led worship at several churches in the Knoxville, TN, area. He loved making music and using his talent to praise Jesus. His music touched many hearts. He will be remembered for his loving heart and keen sense of humor. Rick loved all his family, and his wife and daughters were his most loved treasures on this earth. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Rodericke G. and Gay C. Huemmer and sister Kathy G. Huemmer. 

Rick is survived by his wife Beth, daughters Jessi Henderson (Garrick) and Katie Bookout (Derek), grandchildren Lily Potter, Kaleigh Potter, and Pierce Henderson, brother Jeff Huemmer (Karen Libecap), uncle Don Thuma, and extended family in Ohio, Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama, and California. 

A celebration of Rick’s life will take place in 2023.
