Robert William Pounders

POUNDERS, Robert William, age 62 of Brownsville,TN formerly of Maryville passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Morning View Transitional Care Center, Maryville, TN. He leaves behind many friends and co-workers at Commercial Contracting Company of San Antonio, Inc. For the past ten years, he traveled and worked extensively in the Caribbean, South America and Malaysia. He enjoyed his travels, his friends, his family and many good times and fond memories. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Leon Pounders. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Alice Milligan Pounders; daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Eleanor Pounders Cate and Mark Cate of Maryville, Kristen Erin Pounders Lindler and Chuck Lindler of Augusta, GA; son, Joshua Robert Pounders of Murfreesboro; granddaughters, Bailey Elizabeth Cate, Abigail Grace Cate and Anna Grace Lindler; mother, Eleanor Grissom Pounders Smith and husband Charles Smith; sister and brothers, Eleanor Pounders Bales, Larry Pounders, and Fred Pounders; numerous nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family will receive friends from 9-11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the service following immediately with Rev. Dixie Petry officiating. Private entombment services will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
