Thompson, Robert age 81 of Maryville passed away Friday February 6th 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Kagley’s Chapel, retired from ALCOA with 46 years of service, member of the 25 year service club, member of Masonic Lodge F&AM 128 and Scottish Rites 32nd and former member of Foothills Antique Tractor & Engine Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Colleen Thompson, parents, William O and Della M. Gardner Thompson and 2 infant sons, brothers Raymond and Cecil Thompson, sisters Elizabeth Thompson, Grace Long and Pauline Long. He is survived by his son Richard Russell Thompson, daughter and son in law Patricia K. And Johnny Carroll both of Maryville, grandchildren Johnny and wife Amy Carroll Jr., Angel and husband Richard Leeson, Justin and wife Brook Carroll, Starlet Carroll, Jason Carroll, Tara Thompson. Great grandchildren, Drake Hill, Tre’ Carroll, Collin Leeson, Antwaun Couch, Bodhi Leeson, Shelby Carroll, Ava Carroll. Sisters Helen Turner, sister and brother in law Marguerite and Jimmie Connatser and special nephew, Billy Long. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifton Hearon officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Kagleys Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to: Kagleys Chapel Cemetery Trust Association C/O Becky Connatser, 3218 Mint Road, Maryville TN 37803.
