Robert Lee "Bob" Rich

Robert Lee "Bob" Rich, age 93, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 22, 2016. Bob was a loving husband, a father and grandfather, a pharmacist and a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was well known for his warmth and sense of humor. Anyone who met him was instantly a friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Bowers Rich. Survivors include his son, Alan Rich and wife Lisa, grandson Brandon Rich and wife Deanna, nieces Barbara Dvorak and Drucilla Baker of Blount County and Debbie Stewart of Michigan. Of his many friends left behind are Brenda Best, Mickie Smitherman, Brad and Lisa Hutsell, and Leroy Rogers of Blount County. Luan and Lusally Hong, Wilfred Jamison, David and Eva Kang, Jerry and Christina Jagger, Alex Joiner and Jessica Perez, Nilsa Lucio, Delia Vedia, and Diane Lopes all of North Carolina. The family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Clark's Grove Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Mike Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blount County Animal Shelter or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
