Robert Kenneth Burkhart

Robert Kenneth Burkhart, age 90, died on March 27, 2016 in Maryville, TN. He attended First Church of the Nazarene, retired from MAC of Knoxville and was a retired dairy farmer from Blount County. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ann (Burkhart) Perry; grandson, Robert Charles Otis Sparks; father, James Ruble Burkhart; mother, Veda Burnett Burkhart; brother, Jack B. Burkhart; sister, Martha Lou Burkhart McMillan. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Norris Burkhart; son, James R. (Jim) or (Robbie) Burkhart; daughter, Patti B. Moore; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, from the Blount County, Knox County and Loudon County areas; special caregiver, Beth Moore, who led Bob to Jesus. The family would like to thank the Blount Memorial Hospital (2 E) and Home Hospice Staff for their caring and kind ways. Bob, who is already reunited with loved ones in heaven, will forever be remembered by those left behind. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Couey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Asbury Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
