Robert Harold Cross

Robert Harold Cross, age 65 of Greenback, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Clover Hill Presbyterian Church, played football at Maryville College and served in the 119th Air National Guard. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Alice Cross and father, Ancel Dayton Cross. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Gwendlyn Worde Cross; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Karen Cross of Knoxville, Shawn and Ann Cross of Vonore; daughter, Robin Hamby of Greenback; grandchildren, Robert Cross, Brandon Cross, Alexis Cross, Lynn Hamby, Jennifer Hamby, Billy Hamby, Hunter Cross and Taylor Cross; mother, Ollie Christian Cross; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ina Cross of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and John Benziger of Corryton. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Unitia Cemetery in Loudon County for the interment service.
