Robert A. Kizer, Lt. Colonel U. S. Army, Retired, age 76 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at Maryville Healthcare Center. He was a lifetime member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, he co-founded Realty Mart, graduated from U. T. in 1951 and Yale University in 1954, was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Kizer (Lon); sister, Mary Lynn Taylor; and brother, Ben W. Kizer. He is survived by his wife, Daphne T. Kizer; sons, Edward C. Kizer and wife Barbara of Williamsburg, VA, Michael K. Kizer and wife Lan of Yorktown, VA and William D. Kizer of Maryville; daughters, Tommie Jean Zimmer and husband Jeff of Columbia, SC, Robin Williams and husband John of Strawberry Plains, TN and Mary E. Kizer of Maryville; grandchildren, David and Eddie Kizer, Lee Kizer, Ashley and Tracy Kizer, Grant and Rachael Williams; great grandson, Dylan Kizer. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. Robert L. Wilcox officiating.
