Riley Gregg Marion

Riley Gregg Marion, age 17 of Alcoa, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at East Tennessee Childrens Hospital. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. He was a freshman at Alcoa High School in the Special Education Department. He loved to go to school and loved to ride the school bus. Riley loved his teachers, especially Ms. Margie (Margie Young). He joined his Dad in running road races and participated in the Area 15 Special Olympics. He loved his big brother, Wesley, loved his bananas and his baths. He loved to ride in the yellow convertible Mustang. Riley was preceded in death by his grandfather, J. P. Marion. Survivors include his parents, Gregg and Konni Marion; brother, Wesley Marion; grandparents, Wanda Lynn Marion, Frank and Norma Whitley; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. John United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Shelton officiating. The interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Clarks Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, 2201 E. Broadway, Maryville, TN 37804.
