Richeson ''Dick'' Johnston

April 14, 1920 — June 12, 2003

JOHNSTON, Richeson “Dick”, age 83 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir and served as a Deacon for many years. He was retired from ALCOA after 43 years of service and was a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Herbert and Hazel Jones Johnston. Survivors include: wife, Betty Lillard Johnston; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Becky Johnston of Chattanooga, Mike and Sharon Johnston of Maryville and Gene and Suzanne Johnston of Walland; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Millie Houk of Maryville. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Anderson officiating. The family will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
