Richard Mark "Rick" Anderson

Richard Rick Mark Anderson, 66, of Maryville went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 20, 2019. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and an active member of the community. Rick was endeared by many generations of athletes and coaches because of his 45+ years of service as an umpire and basketball official. He was proud of the friendships and relationships he made as a result of officiating. He loved sports, especially the New York Yankees and Alabama Crimson Tide. In his final days upon this Earth, he made it clear that the personal relationships that his grand children had with the Lord Jesus gave him an unmatched sense of pride. Rick was preceeded in death by his father, Cledith Calvin Beedy Anderson and his mother MaryLynn Anderson also of Maryville. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Mickey and Sandy Anderson, his daughter April Anderson Turner and son-in-law Ron Turner, and son Mark Anderson and daughter-in-law, Rachel Anderson. Rick left behind five grandchildren-Ashley and Emily Lyda of North Carolina and Austin, Ethan, and Ava Anderson of Maryville. In his final days, his relationship to his ex-wife Vivian Anderson experienced great reconciliation. A very special friendship in Gerry and Ramona Hill withstood distance and the test of time as well. A grave marker will be place along side his parents at Magnolia Memorial Cemetery. Receiving of friends will take place from 5-7pm at Mcammon-Ammons-click funeral home on Tuesday April 23. A memorial service will be held immediately following from 7-8pm and will be officiated by his nephew, Pastor David Anderson.
