Richard G. ''Dick'' Rummel

Rummel, Richard G. (Dick), age 88 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Asbury Place in Maryville, TN following an extended illness. Dick graduated from high school in Montpelier, Ohio and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dick and his wife Mary moved to Maryville in 1979 where they became very active in the Broadway Methodist Church. They sang in the choir and participated in a variety of church clubs and activities. He is also a former long time member of Kiwanis. Survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Mary Ann Hile (Duane), University Heights, OH; sons, John Rummel (April), Royal Oak, MI and Barry Rummel (Diana), Loudon, TN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Asbury Place Chapel, 2648 Sevierville Road, Maryville, with Rev. Bob Hayes and Rev. Amy Probst officiating.
