Richard E. "Dick" Ray

Richard E Ray (Dick) passed away at home on April 25, 2023, at the age of 92. Born in Birmingham, Alabama he was preceded in death by parents J Jule and CoraleHe Ray, sister JoAnn Jones, and his beloved wife Ann. 

He is survived by sons Daniel and David, daughters in law Lynne and Tamra, grandchildren Sarah, Michael, Minta and Austin, and niece and nephew Jennifer Hashem and Rick Jones. Dick was an Alcoan for 40 years, loved the people of East Tennessee and was involved in many volunteer efforts. He always rooted for UT unless they were playing the Crimson Tide. He will be missed by our family, his friends here and across the world, and his long-time caretakers Sonja, Betsy and Polly. 

Memorial services will be held at 2pm, May 20th at New Providence Presbyterian Church, Rev. Emily Anderson officiating.
