Reyes (Betty) Alvarez Lamarre

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Reyes (Betty) Alvarez Lamarre, age 90, who peacefully left us on November 25th , 2024, at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 6th, 1934, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Betty was married to the love of her life, Wilhem (Bill) Lamarre, for 52 wonderful years. Together, they built a family, and a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Betty’s loving and feisty spirit were a constant source of strength for all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Wilhem (Bill) Lamarre, and her four children and nine grandchildren: son John and spouse (Isaura); Charlie, Gabby; son Robert; daughter Rosalie and spouse (Adam): Zachary, Taylor; daughter Debbie and spouse (John): Nicole and spouse Erik, Bradley, Kaylee, Joaquin, and Olivia.

Betty’s legacy also lives on in her three great-grandchildren: Harper, Lukas, and Rory. She also is survived by her sister Antonia and her brother Peter. Her extended family, and many dear friends were touched by her warmth and generosity.

Betty’s life was defined by her devotion to her family and her faith. She found joy in the simple things- family gatherings, quiet moments spent at home, and in the warmth of shared laughter. Betty will be remembered for her endless love, her unwavering support, and the joy she brought to those around her.

Betty’s love and light will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her.

She is preceded in death by her father (Basilio) and mother (Andrea), her four brothers, four sisters, and grandson John-John.
