PEARSON SR., Rev. William H., age 73 of Maryville, passed away Monday, August 11, 2003, at 7:00 a.m. at his home. He was a retired Baptist minister having served the following churches: Six Mile Baptist Church, Six Mile, TN, Mountain View Baptist, Catawba, VA, Timber Ridge Baptist, Bedford, VA (2 times), Friendsville First Baptist, Friendsville, TN (2 times), Big Springs Baptist, Elliston, VA, Exmore Baptist Church, Exmore, VA (2 times), Furnace Creek Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, VA, Oak Street Baptist Church, Maryville, TN (Interim Pastor). Survivors include his wife, Mildred Dunlap Pearson of Maryville; one child, William H. Pearson, Jr. of Maryville; mother, Reba Marie Pearson of Maryville; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Marie Berrong of Maryville; 3 brothers, Earl Ralph Pearson of Maryville, James Edward “Jimmy” Pearson of Birmingham, AL, A. J. “Junny” Pearson of Maryville. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Allen Raines officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service.
