Regina Rita Ryan Allin

May 26, 1931 — August 28, 2017

Regina Rita Ryan Allin, age 86 of Louisville, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at Brookdale Browns Creek in Maryville. Rita was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and a graduate of Newburyport High School, and Burbank School of Nursing, Fitchburg, Massachusetts with a BSN. She taught in the nursing department at Burbank and was retired as an RN from UT Hospital. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her mother, Madeline McGlew Ryan Woodman; father, Albert Irving Ryan; half-brother, George Ryan, step-father, Orin Woodman; grandparents, Effie S. Ryan, Albert Irving Ryan, Ella McGlew, and Thomas G. McGlew. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Curtis Allin Jr.; son, Curtis Allin III and wife Suzanne; daughter, Cindy Allin and husband Mark Brown; grandson, Curtis Allin IV and granddaughter Taylor Allin. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Brookdale and Caris Healthcare for their compassionate care to Rita and her family. A private internment service will be held at Sherwood Mausoleum with Pastor Ty Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Tennessee, Inc., 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
