Rebecca Jeraldine Murphy

Rebecca Jeraldine Murphy, 91, went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2022. She was the owner of Murphy’s Beauty Salon for many years. Rebecca Jeraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth S. Murphy; along with her parents, Charles and Susie Stratton Best; sisters, Carrie Best, Louie Tallent, Jean Cosnahan, and Beatrice Owens; brothers, Jake, Ray, and Charles Best, Jr.

Rebecca is survived by sons, Stephen S. Murphy, Sr., Stephen S. Murphy, Jr., and Joe S. Murphy; daughters, Jennifer M. Jordan, April S. Arms, Jennifer L. Johnson; grandchildren, Chad E. Buchanan, Ashleigh Nicole Murphy, Libby E. Benson, Gavin S. Murphy, Jacob K. Arms, Aiden W. Jordan, Tyler Carver, Carson M. Jordan, Jonah K. Arms, Nicholas Johnson, Abigail M. Arms, Cage T. Murphy; many great-grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters, Linda Harrill, Helen Jones, Kay Saffles, Brenda Hamby, Joe Ann Potter; brothers, Raymond Best and Joe Murphy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 19th at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and the service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Seth Gibson officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 20th at Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to express their thanks for the care and compassion provided to Rebecca by Senior Home Assistance; staff members, Wendy, Amanda, Raffie, and Julie. Rebecca also leaves behind her beloved pet and best friend, her Yorkie, Sparky.
