Reba Mcmahan Hayes

Reba McMahan Hayes, age 96 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Williamsburg Villas. She is a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. Her childhood church was New Era Baptist Church in Sevierville. She retired from Aluminum Company of America and loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed painting, especially birds and flowers. She is preceded in death by husband, Gordon Parks Hayes; parents, John Q. and Sitha McMahan; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Pearl Flynn; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Rosa Lee McMahan; brothers, Clark McMahan and Earl McMahan; nephew, David Flynn; great nephew, Darrell Flynn. Survived by sisters-in-law, Ima Ruth Heidt and Maxine Redwine; nephew, Brian McMahan; nieces and spouses, Betty and Isaac Adams, Sr., Darlene F. and Joseph Consola; niece, Dodie Flynn; nephew and spouse, Doug and Helen Hayes; grandnieces, Ashley Adams, Connie and David Arwood, Deborah and Robby Howard, Melissa and Steve Knight; grandnephews, Isaac, Jr. and Heather Adams, Jeremy Adams, Scott Adams, Clark and Misty French, Eric French; great grandnieces, Cassidy French, Dakota French, Marissa French, Sara Howard, Jessica Knight; great grandnephews, Cole Arwood and Josh Knight; special care givers, Sally Kane and Carolyn Moats. Thanks to Smokey Mountain Hospice and the staff at Williamsburg Villas. Reba was fortunate to have 2 care givers who loved her as a mother, showing compassion and understanding. Thank you!! - Carolyn and Sally. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Howard Olive and Rev. Bob Dalton officiating.
