Raymond H. ''Hick'' Ragle

RAGLE, Raymond H. “Hick”, age 84 of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully May 23, 2005. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville. He proudly served his country during World War II and retired from Bell South in 1981 after 40 years of devoted service. He enjoyed his family, work, and the people he worked with, fished with and golfed with. The family will remember these treasured friends and those who cared for him at Morning View Village. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores “Net” Ragle; parents, John and Alice Ragle; and brother, Newton Ragle of Chattanooga, TN. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Hazen Butterworth of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Lori Gwyn Lawson of Maryville, David and Rebecca Butterworth of Chattanooga; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Andrew and Avery; brother, I. A. “Bud” Ragle of Maryville; and sister, Captola Schubert of Chattanooga; nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday and from 10-11:00 a.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
