Randy Wesley Tipton

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. Randy Wesley Tipton left us on Thursday, May 30th, after a long-fought battle with cancer, at the family home in Wears Valley, surrounded by loved ones in his final moments.

His decency, sincerity, and kind soul will stay with us forever. Randy was strong-willed with an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. Randy was generous, loyal, and brave, even to the very end. He was clever and full of knowledge gained through his life experiences as a land surveyor, which took him on travels all over the United States, connecting him to the Foothills Parkway to the West Coast of California. He was touching lives and collecting friends all along the way, charming them with his witty personality and stories.

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you felt it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity and strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly. So, through our tears and sadness, let us see the blessings of knowing and loving him.

Born  April 18th, 1947, in Maryville, TN to parents Berkley Duane and Mary Elizabeth. Survived by his loving and adoring wife of 33 years, Clydia (Sam) Tipton, daughters Cheryl Stewart (husband Chuck), Jeana Hall (husband Carl), Tonya Myers (husband Don), all of Maryville. Grandchildren Tyler Kirkland (wife Kendra), Camron Mullins, Hunter Mullins, Jayden Mullins, Noah Hall, Kenzee Hall, Nick Myers (wife Laua Beth), Sydney Brasher (husband Josh), Maddie Myers and Great-grandchildren Jax & Grayli Kirkland. Mother Mary, Brother Sidney, Cousin Ellis McGaha (wife Pat), Sister-in-laws Anita Dyke, Thersa Cabbage (husband Ray) of Maynardville, Neice Tina Tipton, Nephew Kevin Tipton plus Special niece Chrissy Downey.

Preceded in death by Father Berkely Duane, Sister Roma Lynn Downey and Special Cousin Melvin (Blackheart) McGaha.

Family and friends are invited to attend Randy’s memorial service  Wednesday, June 5th at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Receiving of friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. with memorial service starting at 7 p.m. Officiating by Terry Wilson.
