Ramelle Paige Trundle went to her eternal home January 23, 2013 after a short battle with leukemia. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ and faithfully served Him well through her years on earth. Born in Marble Hill, GA to the late William O. and Viola Rider Paige, she was the eldest of seven children. They moved to TN where she graduated from Lanier High School and Knoxville Business College. She married the late William Edwin Trundle and was blessed with 35 years of marriage. Ed preceded her in death in 1993 and she was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Forester and brother, Edgar Paige. They had one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Bill Hughes of Maryville and their five sons, William Elisha Eli, Benjamin Jordan Ben, Joshua David Josh, Matthew Seth, and Jesse Daniel Hughes all of Maryville. Ramelle retired from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she worked as a secretary for 47 years on the Agriculture campus in the Food Technology Department and the Ornamental Horticulture Department. She was an active member of Maryville First United Methodist Church for 56 years where she met and enjoyed a special friendship with the late Dr. Robert Wilcox after her husbands passing. Together she and Bob were active in the Holston Conference ministry and activities. She formed many dear friendships through numerous church ministries that she was involved in. As busy as her life was, her first priority was enjoying time with her daughter and her family and being involved in their lives. She attended their sports events, graduations, and traveled with them frequently. A trip to Florida to celebrate the New Year preceded her last hospital stay. Ramelle had a very close family and she enjoyed traveling with her three sisters Delta Merritt, Thelma Buchanan and husband Bert, and Juanita McMillian. Her family also includes brother, Tate and wife Cynthia Paige and brother-in-law, John and wife Laura Trundle, along with many nieces and nephews. She was a true example of a gracious lady and her life exemplified the Lord she loved in many areas of her faithfulness and loving service to others. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. John Trundle officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
