BROWN, Ralph Clay, age 80 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Middlesettlements United Methodist Church, and served with the U. S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles Houston and Lina Clementine Johnson Brown; sisters, Willie, Jessie, Johnnie and Pearl. Survivors include: wife, Juanita Garner Brown; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joellen Brown of Toledo, OH; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and David Sweitzer of Maryville and Janet and Billy Joe Kirby of Seymour; grandchildren, Robert Brown, Ryan Brown, Wendy Piognon, Krista Lawrence, Stephanie Gideon, Micah Kirby and Jada Kirby; 4 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Charles E. and Mary Brown of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens with military honors.
