WHEELER, R. B. “Pickle”, age 85 of Louisville, died Friday, August 30, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a long time Blount County Farmer, former Farm Bureau Director, and winner of various farm related awards. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert B. Wheeler, mother, Ellen Hitch Wheeler; brother, John H. Wheeler. Survivors include: wife, Mildred Taylor Wheeler; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Wallace Gene Gregory of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Pat Wheeler of Paducah, KY; sister, Nell Burns of Townsend; brothers, Jim Wheeler of Uniontown, AL and Bill Wheeler of Marion, AL; grandchildren, Michelle Gregory Painter, Trina Gregory Ashburn, Daryl Wheeler and Stephanie Wheeler. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Beech Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Armstrong officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Beech Grove Baptist Church. Nephews will serve as Pall Bearers and Mr. Wheeler’s Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pall Bearers.
