Phyllis Ann Allen

Phyllis Ann Allen, born June 2, 1938 and reborn June 2, 2017, passed away peacefully at age 79 in Blount Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her daughter Teresa Ann Givens, brother Kenneth Howard Brooks and parents Howard and Jeanette French Brooks. She is survived by her children Patricia Diane Bryant (Beck), Terry Glen Byrge (Rocky) and Charles Glen Allen Jr. (Glenda), 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by sisters June Reeves, Shirley DiSanto and her brother George Brooks as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful Christian example of unconditional love, generosity, forgiveness and obedience to God's commands. She loved her Church family at Calvary Baptist Church and was blessed to be a part of the Joy Sunday School Class and Golden Agers. She was a truly loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 10:30 - 12:00 PM on June 5, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, 100 South Rankin Road Alcoa, TN with service to follow. Interment will take place after the service at Grandview Cemetery, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Calvary Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
