P. Wayne Kiser of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010. A graduate of the University of Florida, he was a captain in the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He left the Air Force in 1968. Wayne was a well-respected landscape architect, was one of the first licensed landscape architects in the state of Florida, and served as president of the Florida chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1978 and 1979. He was active in the community and served on several boards, including the board of directors for Jack and Jill Children's Center in Fort Lauderdale, a non-profit organization that provides family oriented early childhood education for working families. Above all else, he was a devoted son and brother, a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather, and a good friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. At the time of his death, he was in Tennessee with his family. Wayne is survived by his mother Erna Kiser; wife Peggy Kiser; daughters Gayle Kiser and Alisa Kiser Mason; grandchildren Phillip Mason, Berkley Mason, Eva Kiser and Helen Kiser; brothers Walter and Wendell Kiser and their families; sister Joan Kiser Farley and her family; and sister-in-law Barbara Davis and her family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Jack and Jill Children's Center, 1315 W.
