Peter Lee Cason

CASON, Peter Lee, MD of Alcoa, passed away Friday, April 29, 2005, at Baptist Hospital of East TN after a long illness. He attended The University of Tennessee and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from The University of Oklahoma in Norman. He was a charter member of Sequoyah Presbyterian Church, served in the Air Force and Army Reserves at the rank of Major at Dover Air Force and abroad. Dr. Cason was a member of the Knoxville and Blount County Society of Medicine and Sigma Chi Fraternity. He practiced emergency medicine in Knoxville and at Blount Memorial Hospital, had a private practice in Maryville and was a member of the Knoxville Emergency Group. He was preceded in death by his parents, Constance B. Cason and William Cason, Jr. He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Brooke Cason and a son, William Peter Cason both of Louisville; cousins, Margie Allen of New Mexico and David Bettger of Rhode Island; a life long friend, Don Greeley. Family and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the Holston College Cemetery in Louisville with Rev.
