Peggy Thompson Courtney

COURTNEY, Peggy Thompson of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at her home. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Steve W. and Rachel Estep Thompson, John W. and Clementine Bell Shackelford; her parents, James F. and Sue Shackelford Thompson; and her sister, Reba Jacqueline Thompson. Peggy is survived by her husband, Clinton C. Courtney; brother, Charles N. Thompson; sisters, Dorothy T. Coxen, Jeanne T. Bright, and B. Susan Thompson; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville, was a retired bookkeeper, and was also retired from Mildred Tipton Real Estate. She enjoyed her life with family and friends, and one fond memory was playing basketball at Greenback High School. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the funeral to follow with The Rev. Brian Courtney officiating.
