Pearl G Snyder

Pearl Graybeal Snyder, 92 of Rockford, TN, formerly of Crossville, TN and Gray, TN passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at Lifecare Center of Blount County in Louisville, TN. Mrs. Snyder was born September 16, 1927 in the Big Laurel community of Ashe County, NC to Thomas Jefferson and Lula Belle Graybeal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Q Snyder; brothers, Bruce Graybeal, James Graybeal, Herbert Graybeal, Charles Graybeal and sisters, Nell Ruble, June Adams, Dola Tolley and Grace Triplett.

Surviving family includes daughter, Beverly Anderson (JC) and son, Larry Snyder (Karen); grandchildren Tammi Pickett (Billy), Heather Snow (Jeremy) and Stephanie Snyder; Great – Grandchildren Wyatt Snow, Laurel Grace Snow. and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family throughout the United States.

After high school, Mrs. Snyder was enrolled in the United States Nurse Cadet Corps from 1945-1946. She married Robert Snyder in September 1947. In addition to raising her two children, she was employed with Dr. White - Podiatrist, worked at Lake Tansai Village and was involved with the UMW with the First United Methodist Church and the Exchangettes in Crossville, TN. She had many hobbies including gardening, canning vegetables, jams, jellies, and baking. She also enjoyed quilting for friends and family and crocheting afghans, baby afghans and prayer shawls for Mountain View United Methodist Church in Knoxville. She loved Christ, Church, Family and Friends and will be missed by all.

She will be cremated and buried beside her late husband Robert in Mountain City, TN with a graveside service to be announced at a later date.
