GILLEY, Paul W., age 81 of Maryville passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Paul was a veteran of the US Navy having served proudly during WWII. One of his greatest joys and passions was his love of sports and his involvement in athletics in Blount County. He was especially proud to be a constant volunteer at Eagleton Middle and Elementary Schools. He served as a volunteer in many areas for over 50 years as a coach and mentor. He was also an official for TSSAA for over 40 years and was an inductee into the Blount County Sports Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Stile Gilley. He also leaves three children, Clara Edmondson, Linda Everett and husband Larry, and Paul Gilley and wife Teresa, all of Maryville. Grandchildren include, Eric and Pam Edmondson, Wendy and Steve Tittsworth, Carrie and Kevin Craig, Leah and Jayson Hines, Neal Everett, Natasha Gilley, Logan Gilley and Alex Gilley. He also leaves behind 9 great-grandchildren and his sister, Pauline Flanary of Benham KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Wednesday September 5, 2007 in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Jayson Hines officiating with the interment service following in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 - 8 P.M.. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Area 15 Special Olympics, 313 S.
