JOHNSON JR., Paul Afton, age 55 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at his home. He was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, he was attendance clerk and history teacher at Heritage High School for 24 years, was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Alcoa High School and Maryville College, he was a Civil War expert and an avid sports fan. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his father, Paul A. Johnson, Sr.; grandparents, Stanley and Myrtle Housholder and Bruce and Ethel Johnson. Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Johnson of Maryville; aunt, Pauline Housholder of Pigeon Forge; uncle and aunt, Roy and Clara Johnson of Kodak; cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Darris Doyal officiating and Ben Dalton and Don Story presenting the Eulogy. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Pigeon Forge Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
