Paul A. Harrison, age 80, passed away September 25, 2013 in his home surrounded by family. He was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Niles and Hazel Harrison; brother, Larry Harrison. Survived by loving wife of sixty one years, Ruth Harrison; sons, Tim (Victoria) Harrison of Naples, Fla, Mike (Jolanta) Harrison of Chicago, IL, Brad (Leigh Anne) Harrison of Alcoa; grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew, Stephanie, Hayes, Mackenzie, Maryruth, and Mikayla; sisters, Clara Crisp and Becky (Mack) Whitehead, and sister-in-law Bonnie Harrison. Paul was in the auto industry for 35 years and was a dealer on the Airport Motor Mile. He played baseball with the Knoxville Smokies and was signed by the New York Giants before entering the U.S. Army. He pitched for the 2nd Army (Fort. Lee, Va) which won the Service Championship. He was inducted into the Blount County Hall of Fame in 2006. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 5 pm at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service. Officiating will be Rev. Guy Milam with Pastor Jim Cummings. Graveside services will be conducted at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 1 pm Sunday, September 29, 2013, by Adam Crisp.
