Oleyea "Toots" Moroney Mcclendon Robinson

Oleyea "Toots" Moroney McClendon Robinson, age 94 of St. Augustine, Florida passed away Tuesday, December 1, at her home. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James H. McClendon, Jr. and Lyle F. Robinson; parents, Dillon and Diva Jones Moroney; sisters, Theresa M. Walker, Margaret M. Davis and infant sister, Mary Charles Moroney; brother, Dillion Moroney, Jr. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Katherine Margaret and Randall C. Chalfant of St. Augustine, Florida; grandsons, Jordan C. Chalfant and Julian B. Chalfant; nephew, John Dillon Davis and wife, Pamela S. Davis of Maryville; great nephews, Matthew J. Davis and Connor D. Davis; and many more loving, extended family members from her marriages and throughout her life. Toots was a dedicated banker, full of proud memories and accomplishments. She also spent many years dedicated to the family filling station and helped to develop Moroney Corners in her later years. Full of stories and full of life she was a friend to most anyone she met. She was one of a kind and will be missed by many. Born in Monroe County, she always said she was an East Tennessee hillbilly. Family and friends will meet at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Lora Beth Gilbreath officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
