Odell Hood Jones

JONES, Odell Hood, age 91 of Maryville, died Thursday, February 14, 2002, at Asbury Acres Healthcare Center. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a charter member of the Seymour United Methodist Church and later a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church. She attended Western Teacher College in Bowling Green, KY, was a teacher, an avid reader and outdoors person. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lenneth Lysle Jones; her parents, Chester and Ollie Biggerstaff Hood and son-in-law, Bill Leake. Survivors include: daughters, Mona Leake of Oak Ridge, Carolyn (Mrs. Jim) Williams of Signal Mountain, TN, Pat (Mrs. Dennis) Raines of Maryville; grandchildren, Sherry Leake Donald and husband Dale of Knoxville, Cynthia Leake Weatherly and husband Jim of Brentwood, Lynnette Alston and husband Michael of Signal Mountain, TN, Leslie Thomas of Signal Mountain, TN, Todd Raines and wife Diane of Allison Park, PA, Drew Raines of Cincinnati, OH and Beth Raines of Maryville, TN; great grandchildren, Brighton Weatherly, Zack Weatherly, Anna Alston, John Alston, Ashley Marie Donald, Blake Donald and wife Ashley; great great grandchild, Blakeleigh MacKenzie Donald. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Darris Doyal and Rev. James R. Green officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (CST) in Oak Hill Cemetery in Thompkinsville, KY. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. Saturday at Maryville First United Methodist Church. Active Pall Bearers will the grandsons and great grandsons.
