Norman Lee Cochran, 90, passed away March 23, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona. Born Dec 1, 1923 in Alton IL the son of Cody and Pauline Cochran and brother of Howard Cochran and Unice Maxine Allen. He was a loving husband and a kind man to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by Reba Cochran, his wife of 54 years. He is survived by his son Brian, daughter-in-law Susan and his granddaughter Kathleen. Norman graduated from the University of Illinois 1948 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He proudly served in the Navy at the end of World War II on a destroyer, the USS Blue. Norman worked as an engineer for several companies, retiring from Rust Engineering in Birmingham Alabama as chief estimator. He was a faithful Christian, a deacon in the Southern Baptist church and a Sunday School teacher. Norman and Reba enjoyed traveling around the USA, loved to spend time with family and friends and loved to help others. He will be missed by all who knew him. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow at Citico Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
