Norman G. Hill

May 20, 1930 — March 22, 2014

Norman G. Hill age 83 of Friendsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a sudden illness at U.T. Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Plumer G. and Jenny Lind Anderson Hill; daughter, Angela Mary Hill. He was a member of Friendsville Friends Church and was a graduate of Friendsville Academy Class of 1948. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was awarded two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts. He was City Judge of Friendsville for several years. Survivors include his wife, Frances Evelyn Hill; daughter, Andrea Lind Scott and husband Grady; son, David Norman Hill and wife Carol all of Friendsville; grandchildren, Daniel Saltarelli of Friendsville, Dominic Saltarelli of Texas, Katie Cecile Bealer and husband Travis of Knoxville, Lindsay Marie Hill of Friendsville; brother, Jerry Ben Hill and wife Mollie of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Joe Reece and Larry Fowler officiating. A private interment will be in Friendsville Friends Church Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friendsville Friends Church Cemetery Fund.
