Norma L. Porter, age 76 of Maryville, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at Life Care Center of Blount County. She was a lifelong member of Peck's Memorial United Methodist Church and was employed by the Blount County School System as a Teachers Assistant for 29 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Velma Long and brother, Charles "Buzzy" Long. Survivors include her husband of 50 years Ronald Porter; son, Ron, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Chris Halouma; granddaughter, Graison Halouma; sister and brother-in-law, Lila and Richard Whitt of Venice, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Katie Long of Moreland, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Grandview Cemetery for the entombment service. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Pat Summitt Foundation, 520 W. Summit Hill Drive, Suite 1101, Knoxville, TN 37902.
