Neppie Inez Melton

Neppie Inez Sissum Melton, 89, passed away April 20, 2019, at home in Louisville. She married the late Bobby Joe Melton, Sr. in 1947, and they were lifelong residents of Blount County. Inez was a member of Zion Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years; parents, Charles and Cordia Sissum; brothers, Richard Sissum, George Sissum and Tom Sissum; sisters, Ida Hollifield, Bonnie Drake, Betty Thompson; son, Bobby Joe Melton, Jr.; daughter, Cathy Melton Atchley. Survivors include son, Michael Tommy Melton; daughter, Lisa Melton Hutchison; grandchildren, Rachael Melton Hooten and husband Jeff, Nicholas Hutchison and wife Stephanie, Michaela Hutchison, Brianna Hutchison, and Caitlin Hutchison; and great grandchildren Olivia Hooten and Amelia Casey. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Jim Malone officiating.
