Nellie Huskey Norton

Nellie Huskey Norton, 70, Maryville, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 30 at UT Hospital, loved on by family and friends. Member of Central Point Baptist Church. Former owner of "The Friend Factory" daycare. She was known by hundreds of children as "Miss Nellie." Preceded in death by parents, Newell and Viola Huskey. She is survived by her son, George Norton, II and her three granddaughters, Kailyn, Olyvia and Brandy; sister and brother-in-law, Dot and Bobby Brown and brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Lisa Huskey; nieces, Elisha Huskey-Blais and Paula Mize Simerly and nephews, Noah Huskey and Stevie Brown; great nieces, Katie Simerly and KatieAnn Blais; great nephew, Taylor Simerly; Very Special Family, Jeff, Sue, Hannah, Jaime, Bailey and Gage Morris. Great Friends Wilda and Kenneth Cornett, Nancy and Jess Parramore, Patsy and Ralph White. Celebration of Life Service planned for Saturday, October 4 at 5 pm at Central Point Baptist Church, 3617 Central Point Road, Rockford. Receiving of friends from 5:00 6:30 pm. Celebration Service will start immediately afterward.
