Nancy L. Yocum

Nancy Lee Butler Yocum (formerly Lantz) passed away January 28, 2019 surrounded by family. Nancy is survived by her spouse, Tom Yocum and her children Dawn Lantz Riddle, Michael Lantz, Megan Lantz Feenane, seven grandchildren and a number of other loving family and close friends. Nancy was the daughter of Dallas W. Butler and Jean Lee Phillips. Nancy was born in Greenbelt, Maryland. She earned her BSN from West Virginia Wesleyan College and spent a long career as a labor and delivery nurse. She served in many leadership roles in the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) including president and was a contributor to several published works on childbirth. She was a certified doula and was passionate about womens advocacy in the birth process. She traveled on many faith-based mission trips internationally serving mothers and families. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 220 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville, TN 37801, with a Memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the pregnancy and childbirth organization of your choosing.
