Mildred Whitehead Paschel

Mildred Whitehead Paschel, age 79 of Rockford, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at home. A native of Blount County, Mildred worked her entire career in the medical field and retired from Knoxville Cardiovascular Group as a medical assistant to Dr. James Yates after 27 years of services. She thoroughly enjoyed her patients and her spirited exchange with Dr. Yates. Mildred grew up in Laws Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized there. She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Bessie Aileen Boring Whitehead; a brother James Fred Whitehead; sister and brother-in-law John Clyde and Frances Louise Mogridge; sister Wilma Jean Whitehead; daughter Beverly Kay Cagle; son Larry Edward Cagle. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Raymond Paschel; daughter, Terry (Joe) Bradley; son, Dan Cagle of Charlotte, NC; step children, Pat (James) Campbell, Theresa (Sam) Townsend, Bobby Paschel; granddaughter, Jennifer Jenny Bradley of Raleigh, NC; several step grandchildren; sister-in-law Edna Jean Hodge Whitehead; brother-in-law Anthony (Katherine) Paschel of Texas; special niece, Carolyn Tompkins and several nieces, nephews. Special friends: Coworkers from KCG, Gail Wilson, Vic Wilson, Abel and Nolan Braswell of NC, and Melissa Trekelll, M.D. Special thanks to Drs. Wally Werner, Taylor Weatherbee, and Kim Leaird for their excellent care of our loved one. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will long be remembered for her keen sense of humor. Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Townsend officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Mausoleum for the entombment service.
