Mildred Johnston Houk

12-19-2010 Mildred Johnston Houk age 89 of Maryville, born August 25, 1921, has gone to be with our Lord and her husband, Paul M. Houk; parents, Hazel Jones Johnston and Herbert Briscoe Johnston, along with her brother, Richeson L. Johnston and nephew Gene Johnston. Mildred is survived by sister-in-law, Betty Lillard Johnston; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Millie and Paul were married 61 years. Prior to marriage she was a telephone operator for Bell South. Later while a housewife, she volunteered at Blount Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary for 40 years. Mrs Houk, along with her husband, have been faithful members of Fairview United Methodist Church more than 50 years. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
