Mickey Ray Long, age 72 of Maryville, TN passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 13th. He was born December 2, 1948. Mickey was retired from Alcoa with 35 years of service. He also served 6 years in the United States Army. He loved working on tractors and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edna Mae Long; stepson, William “Scott” Gredig; brother in law, Mac Crowe; nephew; Brad Long. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patty; daughter, Micah and husband Rev. Trent Stewart; son, Chad Long; Mickey’s brother, Keith and wife Donna Long; sister, Pam and husband Steve Deck; sister in law, Jeanie Jones; four beautiful grandchildren and nieces and nephews; his special cousin, David Raulston. Along with his sweet dogs Tucker, Scooter and Jetson. He was also cherished by family and friends Dana Zurakowski, Bronwyn Poston, Gail Hughes and Glenda Norris. Along with his loving neighbors. The family would like to express a special thank you to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Hospice Services for their loving care of Mickey.
Friends may sign the guest register at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Church of Christ Cemetery 3102 Six Mile Road for a graveside service with Rev. Charles Huskey officiating. The family has asked in lieu of flowers in memory of Mickey to please donate to the charity of your choice.
