Michael Caccavale, Sr.

October 17, 1944 — April 7, 2024

Michael Caccavale, Sr., Aka (Grumpy Mike) Age 79, of Maryville Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024, he was surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born to Patrick and Rose Caccavale in Summit, NJ.


Michael is survived by his devoted son, Michael Caccavale Jr, and his wife Wanda of Chandler, AZ and daughters Nicole A. Mastroeni of Hopatcong, NJ and Linda M. House and her husband Byron of Succcasunna, NJ. Four grandchildren, Crystal Tyrone, Francesco Mastroeni, Antonio Mastroeni, and Danica House and one great grandson Andrew Tyrone. He is also survived by his brother Anthony Caccavale Sr. and his wife Diane, sister Genevieve Sutera, and brother Patrick Caccavale Jr. and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Dominic J. Caccavale.


Throughout his life, Michael was known for his unwavering love and dedication to his family. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren and took immense pride in their accomplishments. A hardworking and compassionate individual, Michael touched the lives of many people with his straightforward attitude and willingness to help.


Michael will be remembered for his “grumpy” warm smile, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. In addition to being a loving father, Michael was also a devoted friend and mentor to many.


Michael’s 50-year passion of motorcycles brought him to a brotherhood of friends. He always talked about Smoky Mountain H-D / Shed was one of the greatest times he enjoyed since retiring. His wisdom, guidance, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.


Services to be held at McCammon- Ammons- Click on Wednesday, April 10th, 5:00pm -7:00pm, services at 7:00pm, this will be held in his honor and celebrate Michael's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Wounded Warriors project - https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/. Michael was a proud Army Veteran.


Michael Caccavale, Sr. will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was cherished beyond measure.
