Michael B. Welling

WELLING, Michael B. entered the family triumphant after a long courageous battle with brain cancer. He shared a life in Maryville First Baptist Church and Fairview United Methodist Church, was employed with Pilot Travel Centers as Manager of Purchasing, and coached Soccer and Upward Basketball. He was a man of deep courage, faith and conviction. His contagious smile will be missed by many. Survivors include: wife, Kimberly Welling; son, Ryan Michael Welling; father, Boyd E. Welling of Clarksburg, WV; mother, Shirley J. Melloy of Lee’s Summit, MO; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Marci Welling of Clarksburg, WV; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Jim Slaton of Palm Bay, FL; sister, Kathy Jefferson of Palm Bay, FL; grandmother, Rose Marie Welling of Hallandale, FL; 4 nieces; 2 nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Fairview United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Russell, Rev. Bill Akers, Dr. John Sharp and Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday at Fairview United Methodist Church.
