Maynard T Crye

Maynard T. Crye, age 92 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Clover Hill Senior Living. He was a member, Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and was a full time farmer. He was a 50 Year Mason of Mountain View Masonic Lodge, a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. He accomplished many things in his career and life but most important was his relationship with Jesus Christ and Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Crye; daughter, Sheila Holder; parents, John Shimmon and Sally Crye; brothers, Joe Crye and Lahmann Crye. Survivors include his daughter, Twila Crye; grandchildren, Talia Holder, John M. Scott, Tiffany Potter (Jason), Erin Hitchcock (Bryan); great grandchildren, Tristin and Ava Potter, Colton Hitchcock; nephews, Larry Crye (Diane), Bobby Crye (Nancy); many other friends and relatives. The family wishes to thank the Staff and residents at Clover Hill Senior Living for their compassion, love and kindness. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Patton and Rev. Lon Wayne Stamey officiating. The interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
