Maxine Johnston Perkins

Maxine Johnston Perkins, of Friendsville, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Born in Roane County, TN, the daughter of Elkana Johnston and Mary Ellen McIver Johnston. She was the widow of Richard Eugene Perkins also preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis Johnston and Clyde Johnston; sister, Ernestine J. Galloway. She worked for many years for Vulcan Materials Company and was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her church, family and friends. Survivors include her sisters, Cecile Johnston of Harriman, TN and Dorothy J. McLawhorn of Winter Park, FL; and a number of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dale Ellenburg officiating. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville 982-6812
