Max Houston Young, age 82 of Maryville, passed away Monday, June 21, 2004, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY. He was a member of Clover Hill Presbyterian Church, he was a veteran of World War II having served from 1943-1945 during the Battle of the Bulge, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe, and received 5 Bronze Service Stars. He worked for 40 years for the Aluminum Company of America and was a member and past president of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert B. Young and mother, Julia Mays Young and brothers, Jack Young and Dr. William C. Young. Survivors include his wife, Magdalene McCampbell Young; sons, James Patrick Young and wife Judy of Chillicothe, OH, Brent Young and wife Susan of Nashville and Jeff Young of Maryville; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, James F. Young, Ben Howard Young; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating. The interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
