Mattie Marie Haworth Alexander McConnell Sanders - Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother age 88 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ida Giffin Haworth; Husbands, Charles B. Alexander, Robert McConnell, and Paul Sanders; children, Tommy, Marvin, and Marion Alexander; brothers, Robert, Charlie, Troy, and Luther Haworth; sisters, Ada Troutman, and Esta Fox Yoakum. Survivors include her son, Charles B. Alexander Jr. And wife Margie; daughter Anna Bright and husband Richard both of Maryville; grandchildren, Roger Dale Alexander and wife Janet, Lana Samples and husband David, Larry Alexander and wife Tina, Chris Bright, Buffy Arms and husband Jeff, Betsy Ogle and husband Terry, Wayne Alexander, and Edna White; several great-grandchildren; step-son, Donnie Sanders and wife Patty; step-daughter, Jan Sanders Jackson; several step-grandchildren; several step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:30 Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Collins and Rev. David Webster officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 A.M. Friday at Clarks Grove Cemetery for the interment service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Broadway Baptist Church 2329 E. Broadway Ave. Maryville, TN 37804. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
