Mathilda Edith Myers

Mathilda Edith Ortmeier Myers, age 92 passed away Sunday, January 13, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Chattanooga, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst C. Ortmeier and Beulah Aso Rank; three sisters; and one brother all of Chattanooga; one grandson, of Birmingham, AL. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist in Chattanooga. Since moving to Maryville she had attended First Baptist Church of Maryville. Survivors include her husband of seventy years, Grafton Stuart Myers Jr., of Chattanooga, a native of Chickmauga, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald S. and Anne Myers, of Amarillo, TX, Edward C. and Margaret Myers, of Kings Mountain, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Reita M.and Charles L.Copeland, of Maryville, Joan M. and Tom Canaan, of Maryville; 13 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2002 in the Fellowship Hall of Maryville First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles L. Copeland officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Maryville First Baptist Church Family Life Center 202 W.
