Mary Simerly

Mary Baldwin Simerly - passed away Saturday, February 14, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Enjoyed a long career in the cosmetology profession; first as Salon Manager for Seligman-Latz and then many years as a cosmetology teacher at South Doyle High School. Was an active member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church where she served as pianist for many years. Member of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by husband, Ben Simerly and son, Richard M. (Dickey) Simerly, parents, Berlye Buckley Baldwin & Dollie Luella Jane Harvey, brothers, Lester (Doodle) Baldwin, Trellis (Buddy) Baldwin, sister, Gladys Baldwin Lingenfelter. Survivors, son, Bill D., son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Linda Simerly, all of Maryville. Brothers Clarence Baldwin, Maryville and Kenneth Baldwin, Knoxville. 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Long-time friend, Irene Lauderdale of Sevierville. Funeral services will be 7:30 P.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Grubb officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
